Sunday saw Cambridge United playing Torquay at Wembley. While Airport transfer heathrow offer the very best in Airport transfers, they offer much more.
After a call from a U's fan, ATH were able to come to the rescue. Cars from Luton Stansted Heathrow Gatwick were diverted to Cambridge to assist in a passengers plight after she had booked several limousines that failed to turn up.
Unfortunately, it was not to be for Cambridge United after loosing 2 - 0 to Torquay.

The Co-operative Travel has released a survey report claiming that airports in the UK are failing to meet customer expectations.
As the Department for Transport began a public consultation regarding the state of airports (Stansted Gatwick Luton) in Britain, the travel company polled 1,713 of its customers for their input.
The company is urging customers participate in its campaign that demands an improvement in standards before the consultation period ends on 1 June.
According to the poll, 65 per cent of airport customers are dissatisfied with baggage reclaim systems, 60 per cent are not happy with catering choices or quality and 58 per cent indicated that they were not satisfied with airport parking facilities.
Customers were asked the types of facilities they have seen at leading airports around the world that they would like to see available in Britain. Twenty-four-hour access to all airport facilities – including shops and restaurants - was the choice of 29 per cent of the respondents, followed by more comfortable rest and seating areas, which was chosen by 21 per cent of those polled. Better food outlets offering healthier and more affordable choices came in third, at 14 per cent.
“UK airports are failing to reach world class standards for customer service,” said the travel company’s retail distribution director, Trevor Davis.
He continued: “This is shown by our research and also by industry awards. For example, no UK airport made the top 10 in the Skytrax World Airport awards, which is collated from the responses of 8.2 million passenger questionnaires, or even the top three Europeann airport category.”

Luton Airport to cancel drop off charge.
The £1 fee that Luton airport was planning on charging its customers to drop off passengers at the terminal is now being canceled. This charge, which was being called the ‘kiss and drop charge’, was due to come into force last month. However, it has now been put on hold until further notice.
Had the kiss and drop charge come into play, Luton would have been the first airport in the country to charge for dropping off passengers outside the terminal. Although, Birmingham does force customers to use its nearby short stay car park.

ATH passengers to Stansted Airport
Hot off the press 13 May 09
ATH passengers travelling through Stansted Airport have been among the first in the UK to use new facial recognition technology as part of a major trial of the system. TRAVELLERS holding new-style biometric passports are being urged to "cut the queues" at immigration and use new facial recognition gates at Stansted Airport. The gates, one of only two trials of the technology in the UK, were brought on-line in December as part of a Border Agency trial run in conjunction with Stansted's owners, BAA. It has been so successful, seeing more than 160,000 passengers take part, it has been extended to October. Plans for further airports to take part in the change-over are afoot.
EL AL began Luton-Tel Aviv services
EL AL, Israel’s flag carrier, began last week operating flights 6 times a week from London Luton to Tel Aviv. EL AL flights depart London Luton from Sunday to Thursday at 12.15 and arrive in Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport at 19.05. On Fridays the departure is at 09.45 with arrival at 16.35. The return flight, LY 213, will leave Tel Aviv Sunday to Thursday at 07.30 arriving at 10.50. On a Friday the flight arrives at London Luton at 08.50. According to spokesman of London Luton Airport the demand for the service has been very strong mainly due to the fact that the Airport road and rail access are now better than ever with the completion of the M1 motorway widening, dual carriageway link to the airport and excellent rail services to central London.

A derelict building on the fringes of Gatwick Airport was destroyed by fire last night.
The two-storey house in Lowfield Heath, within sight of the airport runway, was ravaged by flames.
Six fire crews were called to the blaze in Poles Lane just before 10pm.
They could not work inside the building because it was unsound.
The fire was out by midnight but a crew spent the night at the scene to make sure it did not flare up again.
Fire investigation officers are working at the scene this morning to find out how it started.

Airports policy 'in tatters' as Stansted runway plans delayed again.
The government's airport expansion policy is in tatters, campaigners said today after it emerged that a planning decision on a second runway at Stansted is unlikely to be taken before the general election.
An independent planning inquiry into expanding Britain's third-largest airport will not end until September next year at the earliest, according to planning experts. The Conservative party has promised to scrap proposals for new runways at Stansted and Heathrow.
The government has already conceded that a Heathrow planning application is not expected until 2012.
A senior planning official at Essex county council, which is leading local political opposition to the Stansted runway, said the inquiry would probably begin in September and last a year, with another four months before a recommendation is handed to ministers. "It is likely that the inquiry will last a minimum of one year so it will be in the next administration before there is a decision," said David Dash, project manager for the councils opposing Stansted's expansion. Even if the planning inspector finds in favour of a second runway, the recommendation can be overturned by the government.

Luton Airport has shelved plans to charge drivers £1 to drop passengers off at the terminal following an outcry triggered by the Daily Telegraph's disclosure of the proposals. This "kiss and drop" charges were due to come into force last month but have been put on hold until further notice. Luton would have been the first airport in the country to charge for dropping off passengers outside the terminal, although Birmingham forces everyone to use the nearby short-stay car park.
LONDON (Dow Jones)--A consortium comprising Citigroup (C) infrastructure fund, Vancouver Airport and John Hancock Life Insurance Co. submitted a bid for BAA Ltd.'s Gatwick airport late Tuesday, a full 24 hours beyond the original deadline, a person familiar with the situation told Dow Jones Newswires Wednesday.
The consortium, known as Lysander Gatwick Investment Group, is likely the fourth bidder for the airport, which was put on the block by BAA at the end of last year preempting a decision by the U.K. antitrust regulator.
